Hello crafters, card makers, scrapbookers, and stampers! Today I’m thrilled to be sharing how to create dimension in stamped images with Stampin’ Blends.
The lobster and crab images from the Ocean Friends Bundle are beautiful stamped as intended, but look what we can achieve when we add Stampin’ Blends into the mix! The stamped only image is on the right and the same stamped image, with some Stampin’ Blends added, is on the left.

To start, I stamped the outline/detail of the lobster in Melon Mambo Ink, then I stamped the filler image in Flirty Flamingo Ink (stamping off first to get a lighter shade of the ink). If you stop here, you get the lobster on the right. If you want to create dimension in the stamped image with Stampin’ Blends, use the Melon Mambo and Flirty Flamingo markers to add some shading, and stippling. Make sure to visit me on Instagram as I have a detailed how-to reel to share with you! The reel is a great visual on how to create dimension in stamped images with Stampin’ Blends.

The stunning patterned paper I used on my card base is the Friends of the Ocean Designer Series Paper. The bright colours and coral imagery in this pattern spoke to me immediately and I knew I had to feature it on today’s card.
