Thankful Tablescape Kit – Home Decor Frame

Happy Friday friends!  Welcome back to my blog series featuring the Thankful Tablescape Kit from Stampin’ Up!  Today’s project is a simple home decor frame that makes a big impact.  The birch paper ribbon in the Thankful Tablescape Kit is absolutely stunning.  I love the design and the texture is amazing.  I’ll openly admit that I’m going to hoard some away for future projects, because I know after this kit retires at the end of the year I’ll think of a million more things to do with it.

To create the frame, I ripped up the birch paper into approx 1″ pieces.  I then used mod podge to adhere the birch paper to a cheap frame I bought at the dollar store.  While the mod podge was drying, I embossed a piece of Basic Black cardstock with a sentiment from the Feel Goods stamp set.  Once the mod podge was dry and the sentiment was in place I attached the banner to the front of the glass on the frame with dimensionals.  All the papers in the banner are from the Thankful Tablescape Kit, with the exception of the gold.
