Hello friends! How is the world is it Wednesday? I’ll admit that I’m TOTALLY out of whack due a serious case of jet lag, but the week is half over and I’m not sure what I’ve been up to! Fingers crossed I can start sleeping when regular people do and get more productive during the later part of the week.
Today’s card is full of watercolour. I’d taken a tiny hiatus from my Aqua Painter, but it’s back baby. 😉
This card uses the Celebrate Today stamp set. It’s perfect for celebration cards! Plus I love that big ‘ol round balloon!
Creative Tips:
- Get creative! Use your Aqua Painter to add some abstract grass and sky to your background. It’s quick and easy, and best of all it doesn’t have to be perfect!
- Use your stamps to create a border. I stamped the word ‘Happy’ several times along the top and bottom of the card base to create a border.
- Don’t be afraid of colour! Most of this card is very subtle and soft, but then BOOM! Big ‘ol red ballon for an amazing pop of colour.
- Create shading and depth to images with an Aqua Painter. I coloured this ballon with an Aqua Painter and Real Red Ink. On one side the ink was applied very liberally and then it slowly fades to almost white. This gives lots of dimension to a flat piece of paper!
