***This card seems to have taken Pinterest by storm! Thank you to everyone for visiting, I appreciate you stopping by. I’ve done an updated version of this card in a selection of greens for Christmas. It’s posted on my Facebook page HERE. I’d love for you to come and check it out, and I’ll be thrilled if you ‘like’ me while you’re there. Thanks for your support and happy pinning!***
So did you download your free trial of My Digital Studio yesterday? If you missed it, don’t worry, this is an ongoing promotion so you can download it any time. Scroll to yesterday’s post if you want those details.
Today’s card was cased from Kristen Nicole Cunningham. She made a really pretty version in yellow, but I wanted mine to be a little more masculine, so I did it in browns. And since Valentines Day is just around the corner I thought this would be the perfect card for my husband. Do you think adding all those jewels will inspire him to buy me something sparkly? Diamonds perhaps? A girl can dream. 🙂
I think all the texture from using a selection of embossing folders with the Big Shot is what really makes this card a winner. It’s elegant and beautiful and one of those cards that you just want to reach out and run your fingers over. If you don’t have a Big Shot yet, Sale-a-bration is the perfect time to get one! You can get two free items from the Sale-a-bration catalogue just for purchasing the Big Shot, and fancy that, there are two Big Shot items in the Sale-a-bration catalogue! Check out the embossing folders you can get for FREE:

I’ve got a busy day ahead, lots to prepare for my classes this weekend. So let’s get a look at the supplies I used and then I’ll be on my way.

gorgeous card! I tried my hand at it (although mine is even more simple-I omitted the rhinestones for shipping purposes) and I just wanted to stop by and say THANK YOU for the inspiration! This card rocks!

Thanks so much for sharing this beauty, such a clever idea!! Love the embossing you used and the brown tones give to this card a chocolate feel…. 😀
