Happy Saturday Friends! I hope you had fun browsing the upcoming classes I presented the last few days on my blog. There are VERY exciting things to come and I’m so thrilled to be able to share my creativity with you. If you missed the class announcements, they can be viewed HERE, HERE, and HERE.
I’m excited to share the details of today’s project with you. I was contacted by a local photographer who requested a banner for a smash cake photo shoot. After some messages back and forth we concluded that burlap, lace, and pink was the way to go, and I’m so pleased with the results!
- I began by cutting some triangles from some burlap fabric and sewed around the edges to prevent excessive fraying.
- Then I painted the letters on the burlap using a stencil and some acrylic paint.
- After the paint dried I simply sewed on the Strawberry Slush Ruffle Stretch Trim, Victoria Crochet Trim, and some jute twine using my sewing machine.
I love how this project turned out! My nephew turns 1 in a few weeks and I’ll be there for his birthday, so I may just have to re-invent this great idea for his party too.
Happy Stampin’
Allison
