Convention Display Board Project 4: Kinda Eclectic Water Color Card

I have a confession.  I’m in a funk.  Ever since I returned home from Stampin’ Up! Convention I’ve been ‘off’.  I think I just miss my friends.  I absolutely LOVE my stampin’ friends, so I think I’m going through withdrawals.  Thankfully I’ll be reunited with at least a few gals on the getaway vacation in September, and I’m having my demonstrator team over for a card making night on August 15th, so I have some creative girl time to look forward to.  


Enough complaining, I know, I know.  To brighten up my lacklustre attitude I thought I’d share one of my favourite cards that I created for the Convention Display Boards.

I (heart) water colouring…like A LOT.  So it shouldn’t come as a surprise to you that my fave card has a water colour background.  


To get this look:
– Stamp your background image (I used the little dots from Kinda Eclectic) on water colour paper in VersaMark Ink, and emboss with White Embossing Powder
– Using an Aqua Painter and the inks of your choice, wash colour over your embossed background until you achieve the level of colour you like
– Wipe with paper towel and embellish
