Last week I was nominated by my friend and Stampin’ Up! team member Shannon Lane to participate in the Creativity Blog Hop. Well, of course I said yes! With the Canadian Thanksgiving holiday on Monday, my post is a day late, but I hope you’re still excited to learn a little more about me and my creative process. Let’s dive in!
What am I working on now?
With the Christmas season just around the corner I’m currently working on creating some fabulous samples for upcoming November and December classes, as well as some quick and cute projects to sell at craft fairs in the coming weeks.
How does my work differ from others in my genre?
I am a very versatile stamper. I like clean and simple, adore grungy vintage, love bold and bright, and relish in watercolour techniques. I don’t have one distinct ‘go to’ style that I repeat. I like to reinvent and create something new almost every time I sit down to create.
Why do I create what I do?
Almost everything I create is for my Stampin’ Up! business. That’s not saying that I don’t create personal projects, I do. I just choose to share them with my blog readers and customers 98% of the time too. Today’s card for example, was used as a Make n Take at my Holiday Catalogue Open House AND my Stampin’ Up! team shoebox swap.
How does my creative process work?
Sit down, look around, and get to it. I keep all my supplies within my reach and eyesight so I don’t forget about any gems that might be hiding. Often one product will inspire an entire project.
Up next I’d like to nominate my cousin, friend, and Stampin’ Up! team member Jessica Davey. Make sure to visit her blog on Monday, October 20th to see what she’s created!
Happy Stampin’
Allison
