Hi friends! While flipping through the new Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue (for like, the one billionth time) I noticed a card totally CASE-worthy on page 133. I mean, the Concept Artists who design all the samples in the Stampin’ Up! catalogues have some SERIOUS talent and all the projects are CASE-worthy, but the stunning simplicity of this one really stood out to me.
This is another creation from the crafty extravaganza with my Aunt, and I think I’ve got ANOTHER stamp set to add to my growing list of ‘must order’. The Wetlands stamp set has some fab nature images and super useful sentiments.
A few tips for recreating this card:
- Stamp the bird and grass images on Watercolour Paper using Basic Black Archival Ink. Remember to give this ink plenty of time to dry before going in with your Aqua Painter.
- Use your Aqua Painter to add beautiful washes of colour with Island Indigo, Soft Suede, and Daffodil Delight Inks.
- Don’t overthink your watercolouring. It’s supposed to look organic and slightly messy.
- Add splatters of colour by picking up ink on the tip your Aqua Painter and tapping the barrel of the Aqua Painter on the index finger of your non dominant hand.
I’ve been adding a few tips to each of my blog posts recently to make recreating my projects easier for you. Have you found this helpful? Would you like me to continue including these ‘tips’?
I’d love to be your Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator!
