On Sunday and Monday I had my Calgary Stampin’ Up! Stamp Club ladies over for our June get together. Thankfully everyone in our group lives in areas of the city that were not affected by the intense flooding. It was sure nice to turn off the news and focus on something I love, stamping. But it’s certainly hard not to feel guilty about it though when so many are struggling.
This month we did three different techniques using a clear block to create some unique backgrounds.
This first one uses reinkers to create a beautiful watercolour background. Here are the instructions so you can make your own at home:
Watercolour Background
Apply 2 or more colours of reinkers to a clear block; use sparingly. Spritz with water and move the colour around with a paintbrush if required. Carefully stamp the clear block onto watercolour paper. Allow to dry completely before stamping your focal images on top of the background.
