Hello my friends! I’m sorry that this project didn’t post for you on Monday. I thought I had set it up to do so, but technology had different plans. I hope you had a fab weekend. I spent some time doing a few little odd jobs to finish up our laundry room overhaul. Just a few more projects to do in there and I’ll show it off. And then I also spent A LOT of time writing cards.
Writing and sending handmade cards is an important part of staying connected. I hope you’re doing the same, because old emails will not be printed and held dear by your loved ones when you are gone. A handwritten message holds so much more power than some typed words. Please send your beautiful cards to the people you love.
Enough lecturing for me today, hee hee. Let’s take a look at this pretty card I have to share.
The stamp set I’ve used on this card is called Helping Me Grow. It’s a new floral set in the Stampin’ Up! 2016 Occasions Catalogue that you’re going to love.
Before I watercoloured this flower, I sponged around the image with Soft Sky Ink. I love the lightly shadowed appearance this gives. And because Soft Sky is such a light colour, it won’t interfere with your watercolouring of the flower. Another tip for you: when you’ve got a brightly coloured image like this, don’t be afraid to keep the rest of your card clean and simple. It really makes that flower image POP!
Did you know that when you purchase the Stampin’ Up! Starter Kit during Sale-a-bration (until March 31), you receive an EXTRA $40 in product? That’s $195 in product for only $125. I hope you’ll join my Canadian team of demonstrators. We have SO MUCH fun – both in person AND online! Click HERE to make your purchase!
Have a great day my friends!
Happy Stampin’
