Hello friends! I hope you had a great weekend. I spent my weekend on a decorating binge as I put up all my Christmas decor. If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I went a little bit crazy with a vintage Christmas theme. I’ve spent days scouring kijiji and online auctions for vintage ornaments (found so many great ones!), a whole day shopping my favourite stores that accommodate my champagne taste on a beer budget style (as my friend Shannon pointed out, LOL), and a very late night creating a banner for my mantle. I’ll share proper pictures of the whole scene on my blog later this week or next.
Down to business. My card is the reason you’re here. 🙂 This is another one I made for Stampin’ Up! to showcase the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set for a sale they had overseas last month. I combined it with the beautiful Winter Wishes stamp set for a soft and subtle seasonal card.
If you look closely, you can see that I embossed the Gorgeous Grunge splatter image so it would really pop. I wanted a little sparkle too, so I added some Dazzling Diamonds Glitter to my White Embossing Powder. Give it a try, I know you’ll love the results.
The colours I’ve used are Pool Party, Pear Pizzazz, Blushing Bride, and Kraft. It’s not a traditional Christmas or winter colour combo, but I really like the end result.
