This month at Stamp Club it was all about holiday packaging. With Christmas quickly approaching I thought the ladies would like to learn some fun packaging alternatives that they could probably make with supplies they had on hand. No fancy dies needed to make these, just a paper trimmer and the Simply Scored. Oh, except for the little elf cutie, he needs a bunch of punches.
The 2-5-7-10 box has been around for what seems like forever, but it’s always a great go-to. There’s an easy to follow tutorial HERE. I used the Nicely Knit wheel stamp in Gumball Green on Whisper White cardstock for my base. And the Make a Mitten stamp set and co-ordinataing punch for the adorable mittens.
Last but certainly not least we made this adorable little purse, a perfect fit for two Ghirardelli chocolates. 🙂 I used the Box in a Bag template HERE for the general instructions, but changed the measurements to make it miniature.
Here are the measurements you’ll need for the mini size:
- 3 1/2″ x 1 1/2″ cardstock scored @ 1/2″ on each side (this will be the box portion of the bag that is created in steps 1-6 in the tutorial)
- 2 1/4″ x 6 1/2″ DSP (this is the body of the bag that is in steps 7-12 of the tutorial)
- 5″ x 1/4″ (2 pieces), these are for the handles
As always it was an absolute pleasure to have my Calgary Stamp Club ladies over. See you in January girls!
Happy Stampin’
Allison
