Hello my friends! Well, I’m obsessed. Have you noticed? The Christmas Pines stamp set and coordinating Pretty Pines thinlits are basically my new bff. I’m in love and have been using them nonstop. You need them. You could win them too if you’re one of my VIPs. Make sure you read the details on my VIP program HERE. I have a few tips for creating this card, so make sure you read the details below.
Creative Tips:
- Sponge on some dimension. That beautiful blue circle is Pool Party Ink sponged on through a circle template. Just cut a piece of scrap paper with the circle framelit or punch of your choice. Using the negative space (so discard the actual circle) place it on top of your cardstock and secure with a little washi tape. Use a Stampin’ Sponge and some Pool Party Ink to lightly add ink inside the circle.
- Look to your designer paper for colour inspiration. The colours on today’s card are directly from the Presents & Pinecones DSP. Stampin’ Up! has taken the guess work out of colour pairing for you when you turn to their patterned paper for combinations.
- Get the right tools! The Pretty Pines Thinlits are incredibly intricate, so make sure you have both the Precision Plate and Die Brush to make die cutting and extracting your paper way easier.
