Hello crafters, card makers, and stampers! What if I told you that you can make cards using an ENTIRE PACKAGE of designer paper with NO LEFTOVERS! Because it’s very possible my friends, and I’m going to show you how. Obviously designer paper is amazing, and many of us have quite a collection. However it’s time to use our favourites, enjoy their beauty, and use up every last scrap so we can make room for our next favourite paper.
On Friday night I carried on with my new YouTube series called Stamping Past My Bedtime. In episode 2, I show you how you can make cards using an entire package of paper with no leftovers, and I have the recording here for you today so you don’t miss out on the fun. This new series will be longer format videos in which I can share more in depth techniques, multiple projects, and how you can use your supplies to expand your creativity. Enjoy!
The paper I’ve used for these cards is called Trusty Toolbox and is no longer available. However I do know that many of you have this paper, so I still wanted to share my ideas with you.
Get some of this great paper!
I’ve also combed my craft room and found a couple of packages of this paper to make available for sale. I’ll be selling it as ½ packages (so more people can get in on the cardmaking fun) for $25 including lettermail shipping. I’ll cut the paper into 4″ strips as shown in the video, with the exception of the tools paper, which I will cut around the tools (they will not be fussy cut or die cut for you). If you’d like this paper please reach out to me at allison@nicepeoplestamp.com. I can ship within Canada only.
For my cards I paired the Trusty Toolbox paper with the Trusty Tools Bundle of stamps and dies.
I have gotten a TON of use out of this bundle and it’ll be one that stays in my collection long after it retires.
For each of my card designs I used a different set of dies for the labels on the focal piece. Along with arranging the designer paper differently on each card, the different labels help make each card unique. This card uses the Perennial Postage Dies – a must own set!
For this card I’ve used the Nested Essentials Dies. I love these ones too!
These next two cards use the Countryside Corners Dies – another great set!
And last but not least, this card uses the Deckled Rectangles Dies.

Oh, I am so happy to see this “make a wheelbarrow load” of cards video! Thank you. I do hope someday you will create one (or more, what the heck!) videos like this using DSP that does not have a side that is easy to cut (or die cut/punch). You INSPIRE me.
My “mean” comment is that you do not live here. . . dang, double dang! I am in the US and rarely do I get to Canada (though I have quite a few family members still living there).
Want to sponsor me to move up to Calgary! ? ? ?

Hi Allison! Your videos are fun to watch and craft by. You are very creative and have great ideas. I’m up late sometimes, too, and often follow along with the same project or watch while I’m working on something different …. you’re like music in the background- your voice must be soothing to me, I guess.
I’m a demonstrator in Washington State and bummed that I can’t support you by purchasing/participating in your classes. Is there a way to purchase the zoom event without you sending physical product? It would be fun to stamp with you.
With kind regards, KC
[I’m glad you mention “please keep it positive”, I like to surround myself with positivity, too.]

Thank you so much, for ideas on how to use this set, I cut a whole sheet of tools out as I don’t have the bundle, It was mind blowing as I have osteoarthritis, but I did it and I was stoked and pretty proud of myself lol! .
I’ll be making some of these with a UK twist.
Again I’m truly grateful. I will be I giving a mix of cards to some charities.
