This past weekend we celebrated the arrival of my new nephew with a baby shower. The little bow tie invites went out a few weeks ago.
You can find out the supplies I used and see more pictures in my post HERE.
I’m the daughter of a special events planner, so of course I had to have some matching decor for those invites:
I made an upholstered bow tie for above the food table. Well, with a little help that is. My stepdad made the base out of wood and I covered it in batting and material. It was an amazing focal piece and just love how it turned out! My Auntie Jenny helped me out with the banner on the table. Of course I was getting low on time. 🙂
Greeting everyone before they came in the front door was this bow tie wreath that was inspired by one I saw on Pinterest. I got a shirt at the thrift store, hacked it to pieces, and glued the portion I wanted onto a ribbon wrapped wreath form. Then I got to work and hand sewed a bow tie for the collar.
I carried the bow tie theme to the flower vases and glued one on each. I had little clusters of bow tie vases in select areas where I knew people would notice them.
And what’s a baby shower without a diaper cake? This one was a group effort. Ok to be honest I only sewed the bow ties and glued them on. Thanks to my Mom, Sheri, and Auntie Jen it turned out beautifully.
Every good party needs some good food! My Mom and I did some serious time in the kitchen.

So cute I could die! That wreath is so fabulous (but you knew that already) and the food looks to die for. Love, love, love all of the bowties! Adorable!

I know this is a older post, but where did you get your fabric for the bow ties?

I got it from Fabricland in the remnant bin almost 3 years ago. 🙁

Hey!! This baby boy shower is so wonderful. Loved all arrangements especially bow tie on the door. My sister is also expecting a baby boy so I am planning to have a baby shower for her at one of NYC venues. Will include your awesome ideas there.

Hi there! I know this is an old post, but can you tell me how you made that big bow that is on the wall?
Thanks!
