Hello my friends and welcome to the official Stampin’ Up! Artisan Design Team blog hop! There are 20 designers from around the world eager to share their creativity with you, so make sure you visit everyone. And if this is your first time here, welcome to Calgary, Alberta, Canada!
This week our team is sharing creations using the Moroccan Nights and Thoughtful Banners stamp sets. I decided to take an approach I’ve been seeing in the newsletter that is sent to all Stampin’ Up! demonstrators and create three projects of varying degrees of difficulty. Meet card number one:
This little notecard is super easy to recreate. Simply stamp the largest image from the Moroccan Nights stamp set onto the card base with Emerald Envy Ink, tie some Melon Mambo Thick Baker’s Twine around the card into a bow, and add a sentiment from the Thoughtful Banners stamp set.
Super score, that banner is a punch, so no fussy cutting!
This next card is a little more involved, but nothing a pair of Paper Snips and the Big Shot can’t help you with. The focal piece of this card is made using the Layering Circles Framelits, to which I added some stamping and then both the sentiment and lantern I fussy cut with my Paper Snips.
What truly makes this card stand out and look ‘stepped up’ is all the layers. So go crazy with those cardstock layers baby!
This last card is has all the bells and whistles. This is the showstopper – at least in my opinion. Let’s start with that tassel. So pretty! You can make your own tassels quickly and easily using any of our Baker’s Twines, here I’ve used Emerald Envy. Not sure how to create your own tassels? Here’s a video I created last year:
Now let’s talk about the beautifully tiled background on the card front.
I used the largest image from the Moroccan Nights stamp set and, wait for it….the Fox Builder Punch! I think this creates such a lovely and intricate look, but it’s super easy with just some stamping and punching!
And a super special card needs a fancy inside! By just adding some of the same elements you’ve used on the front of your card you can create a co-ordinating inside that wows.
I hope you’ve enjoyed my projects today and you’ll give creating one or more of them a try. See all the products used for today’s projects, and shop for what you’ll need to get creative, using the clickable links at the bottom of this post. You can order online 24/7!
