Hello friends and welcome to the official Stampin’ Up! Artisan Design Team blog hop! We are 20 Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from all over the world, and you’re visiting me in Calgary AB, Canada.
Today’s project is one that I’ve been sitting and sitting on, just DYING to share with you! I love a good advent calendar, and I’m always trying to come up with new and unique ways to incorporate the fun of advent calendars into Christmas decor. Stampin’ Up! just released their new Annual Catalogue, and as soon as I saw the Clear Tiny Treat Boxes I knew another advent calendar would be in the making. These are the perfect size for a piece of chocolate, a Christmas ornament, a little love note, or a small toy.
I’ve used the new This Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper to decorate each of the boxes, and the Bow Builder Punch to create a darling little bow for each box.
And you can’t have a wreath without a big and beautiful focal point. I’ve used the ⅝” Burlap Ribbon, ⅝” Gold Satin Ribbon, and some Linen Thread to create the bow, and then added a cute stamped tag with the Peace This Christmas stamp set.
I hope you like today’s project as much as I do. I’m excited to add this to my Christmas decor this year. And for those of you who are local, YES I will be having a class sometime in the fall.
Now please go and visit my lovely and talented friend, Amy O’Neill to see what she’s created.

What a great advent treat! Love this idea, and I love what you've used to create that fabulous bow — burlap and gold satin together — who knew?!

What a beautiful project. May I ask how you have attached the tiny treat boxes to the wreath?
Allison Okamitsu says
Sure thing! A glue gun will totally do the trick! Easy peasy.

Thanks for your comments Anne. The boxes are attached to the wreath with a generous amount of hot glue.
