Hello friends! Welcome to the Stampin’ Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop!
A few days ago I started working on this basket (made with the Berry Basket Bigz Die) full of grass and flowers. The grass was SUPER fast using the Fringe Scissors, a must own if you want to do something like this.
After my basket was full to the brim with grass I started making tons of flowers using a selection of punches and filter paper.
I love how beautiful and delicate these look. So I said I made a ton of them but you’re only seeing three. Well, when I went to place them all in my basket it looked WAY overcrowded. So what to do with all those extras…
Won’t this make the perfect table decor this Spring?! I have lots of flowers left so I can have a big dinner party. Lol.
This entire project was inspired by the uber cute From the Garden Bundle. And SCORE, it’s on sale this week!

Thanks Caralyn! I think it'll be so cute for Easter and then wouldn't it be spooky with webs and black flowers for Halloween?

I don't have family close by either Holly. Maybe I'll have to have a big friends Easter party.

Great idea for a centerpiece on tables! Would love to know how much cardstock you use for the grass part. 🙂
Allison Okamitsu says
Hey Cindy. Thanks so much! I think I used about 6 sheets of Wild Wasabi cardstock for the grass. But who's counting. 😉

I saw this on Pinterest and DIED. How much green card stock did you use to fill that basket? It's awesome, great job, I love it!

Thanks so much Carrie! I THINK I used about 6 sheets of Wild Wasabi cardstock. I guess I should have been counting.

I would love to know how you did the flowers! Do you have a tutorial on these? I'd be happy tp purchase a how-to on this adorable project!
Allison Okamitsu says
Hi Laura! No tutorial, but I'm happy to tell you how I made them. They're really so so simple. I punched out several pieces of White Filter Paper using the punches I have listed above in the supply list. Then I simply spritzed them with a solution of rubbing alcohol and reinker to colour them. Then I just stacked a bunch of the same flower on top of one another, poked a hole with my paper piercer, and put them on a floral wire. To secure the top of each flower I just put a glue dot on the end of the wire and scrunched the first flower around it. The rest of the flowers were just scrunched to give some dimension. To finish off the base I just added a Wild Wasabi piece punched with the same flower punch and kept it in place with some hot glue.
Hope that helps!
Have fun creating!
