When creating my cards for today’s blog hop, I decided to step outside of my colour comfort zone and try the combo of Dapper Denim, Soft Suede, and Emerald Envy. You can see each of the colours clearly on this watercoloured card.
The watercolouring on this card was done SUPER quickly. You don’t have to meticulously colour in every antler and leg to use this reindeer outline stamp with your Aqua Painter and some inks.
The designer paper in the background is from the Coffee Break collection. Not your traditional Christmas paper patterns, but I think it works great here. I added some sponging around the edges to soften the white leaves in the pattern as well.
Using the same colour palette and a lot of the same supplies, I made a more traditional clean and simple Christmas card. This time I opted for the reindeer wearing the cute sweater – I just love that guy!
I stamped the sentiment in VersaMark Ink onto Basic Black Cardstock and sprinkled with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and set it with my Heat Tool. I love the bold white sentiment on the black cardstock. I then added a few stamped pine boughs to brighten up the large piece of black cardstock.

Great cards as per usual Allison! I wish I could be so relaxed with watercoloring. I love the look, but I'm too much of a perfectionist to actually create the look.
