Yesterday my Tree Advent Calendar was posted on the Stampin’ Up! Corporate Blog, so I can finally share this upcoming class with you! I made this cutie a few weeks ago, and I KNEW it would make an awesome class.
Each of these little boxes opens up and you’ll discover you can hide away lots of little treats to celebrate the countdown to Christmas Day.
We’ll use most of these supplies to create your advent calendar with the exception of the Project Life Accessory Pack – you’ll go home with TONS of extra embellishments you can use for all of your paper crafting!
I hope you’ll join me in my SE Calgary Studio for this fun class! Please email me to rsvp and arrange payment.
To make the base I used the white cardboard piece that comes with the designer paper. I cut the largest of the circle framelits for the bottom and the large scallop circle from the same fratelits for the top. Then it was just a matter of sandwiching a long strip of the dsp cardboard between the two circles with some hot glue and covering it with designer paper. Hope that helps!

Hi Alison I just LOVE this! I am a demonstrator in the UK and hope to meet you on the cruise next year! Can I ask how many boxes were on each layer please? I have just made it but only used 25 boxes in total! Did you use 26? Thank you in advance, Julie
Hello Allison. . . I love your Advent Tree so much and plan on starting to make it for Christmas 2016. I've got several to make, so I figure if I start now I should be finished by then. . . LOL! Thanks so much for the inspiration, such a great idea!
Hi Alison, I first saw a picture of this many years ago and thought it was the most beautiful advent tree I had ever seen. I have tried to make my own but not as successful as yours. If you ever do this workshop again I would love to join you.

Hi Allison. I'm a Canadian living in exile in California 😉 and a Stampin' UP! Demonstrator. I Love the tree! How did you glue the box layers together?
Allison Okamitsu says
Hi Carole Anne.
To glue the layers together I just used a really healthy dose of hot glue! I hope that helps!

I’m so glad you enjoyed it! I have a special love for this project as well. I don’t have plans to do this as a class again, but maybe one day. 🙂
