I made my two projects for today just after I had returned home from my grandfather’s funeral in BC. He and my grandmother had the most stunning garden, including several large hydrangea bushes that were in full bloom when I was there!
A few tips to recreate this card:
- Stamp and die cut the flower blossom using Marina Mist Ink on Marina Mist Cardstock for a beautiful blue hydrangea.
- Die cut a second blossom and add a layer of dimensionals between the two for a more realistic and layered bunch of flowers.
- Curl the leaves slightly out from the stem using your bone folder, and only adhere the stem to the card front.
I also made a cute matching tag:
By using the same stamps, ink, papers, and techniques as the card, a matching tag comes together quickly and easily! I especially love the sentiment fonts in this stamp set, and the ‘thank you’ is particularly striking!
