Hello my friends and welcome to the very last Stampin’ Up! Artisan Design Team blog hop for 2016. This also wraps up the tenure of the current team members. The ladies on this team have become my sisters, and I’m so sad it’s over. That being said, I have some wonderful news! I’ve been chosen to serve on the Artisan Design Team for another year! Pinch me! So although I’ll be saying goodbye to a blog hop with my incredible 2015-2016 Artisan Design Team friends, I’ll be blog hopping as part of the new team in 2017!
So without further adieu, let’s move on to my final project for the 2015-2016 Artisan Design Team.
I love the Project Life Accessory Packs by Stampin’ Up!, and the Hello December release is no exception. These accessory packs are PACKED with embellishing goodies, so it was perfect to make this piece of home decor.
I started with a 12″ x 12″ piece of Whisper White cardstock and added some 3″ x 3″ squares of co-ordinating cardstock colours (Real Red, Emerald Envy, Basic Black, Whisper White, and Kraft). Then every other piece of this project is from the Hello December Project Life Accessory Pack! I told you it was packed with goodies!
Each of the squares is so unique and beautiful, but I think this ‘O, Christmas tree’ square is my favourite.
Creative Tips:
- Stampin’ Up! is #1 at coordination. As I’ve said, everything on this project is from the Hello December Accessory Pack with the exception of some cardstock. I’m so pleased that Stampin’ Up! is committed to a line of coordinating products because I could add in the cardstock colours I needed without any guess work. There’s nothing worse than a project that doesn’t look cohesive because the embellishments and cardstock don’t match.
- Don’t let that paper trimmer scare you. I’ve cut several of my embellishment pieces to meet my creative needs. The acetate cards have been trimmed down, some of the little 2″ x 2″ accessory cards got a trim, and some of the stickers were cut too. Make your supplies work for you and give them a little haircut if that’s what they need to work with your project.
Make sure you purchase your Hello December Accessory Pack asap, because they’re only available while supplies last!
